2 Summary Huntington Hospital accounts receivable days are currently 64 days. Markey would like to decrease the days to below 50. In addition to this metric issue this organization also presents poor communication between staff and the leadership team. The poor communication has led to poor morale and an unpleasant work culture. The team is not cohesive which resulted in ineffective work processes that effective the overall billing metric. Manager The course of action I would recommend the healthcare manager to implement would be updating the organization’s policies and procedures. I believe this would be vital to the moral of the organization to include the staff and leaderships team when implementing these changes to ensure all have options are heard. The new policies and procedures will help create a more uniform team. Everyone will be held accountable to the same polices and this will eliminate fluctuation between messages from the leadership team. Continuing the open-door policy and suggestions box will continue to help build trust between the staff and the leadership team. The suggestions box will help staff speak up and create a positive change within their department. These positive changes will help improve the work process to produce more effective work from the staff. Driving To ensure the stakeholders within the organization drive the strategic planning process, would be to ensure the staff and leaders of each department help to push the changes Markey is currently implementing. She would need to continue to have open communication with the team to ensure everyone involved has a clear understanding of the outlook of the organization. This will help with the overall morale among the staff and could produce better productivity. Markey
